Jan Szpakowicz_House in the Woods

Tras meses sin actualizar volvemos con una breve monografía fotográfica sobre una casa en medio de la floresta polaca, con la vivienda propia del arquitecto Jan Szpakowicz en 1971 en Zalesia Dolny.
Apenas hay información gráfica acerca de la casa, quedando reducida a algunas fotos, una planta, de gran calidad arquitectónica y muy bien dibujada, además de un vídeo. En este enlace podéis acceder a más información.

After months with no updates, we are back here with a short photographic monograph about a house in the middle of the Polish woods, a house designed and built for himself by the Polish architect Jan Szpakowicz in 1971, Zalesia Dolny.
There is almost no graphic information about the house, limited to some pictures, a very well designed plan and a video. You can find more info in this link.

Le Corbusier_Curutchet House

Tras un largo silencio volvemos con otra breve monografía fotográfica -son fotos propias-, sobre la visita que realizamos a la Casa Curuchet (una vivienda unifamiliar construída en la ciudad de La Plata, Argentina, entre 1949 y 1953) en Diciembre de 2010... ¡El tiempo vuela!

Por aquel entonces, Le Corbusier y nosotros habíamos roto relaciones desde hacía un par de años, pero aquella visita nos abrió los ojos nuevamente y de qué manera. Sin duda merece la pena la única obra del genial arquitecto en Sudamérica. ¡Disfrutad las imágenes!

After an extremely long silence, we are here with another short photographic monograph -own on-site photo set-, about a visit to the Curuchet House (house built in La Plata, Argentina, between 1949 and 1953)  back in December 2010...Time flies!

Le Corbusier and we have broken any relationship at the time since a couple of years, but that visit opened our eyes wide open again in such a remarkable way. No doubts, it deserves a visit the only one Le Corbusier's piece in South America. Enjoy the pictures!

Rebel Architecture

Volvemos de nuevo con una serie de cortos documentales sobre arquitectura elaborados por la cadena Al Jazeera sobre arquitectura rebelde que, no siguiendo los patrones habituales, intentan resolver los problemas reales a los que tiene que responder la arquitectura hoy día. Merece la pena verlos para tomar conciencia de que la arquitectura tiene muchas vertientes y que no es siempre -casi nunca- la del edificio estrella. Echadle un vistazo!

We are striking back with a new documentary serie about Rebel Architecture from Al Jazeera as they explain in their Twitter profile "New Al Jazeera English documentary series about architecture all over the world rebelling against starachitecture and monumental architecture". This series shows how to face real-life problems through architecture, designing for the majority rather than the elite. They worth a watch!
